The train interface is an external booking solution of Deutsche Bahn and transfers the passenger data to Deutsche Bahn (credit card, first name and surname, etc.). After booking, Atlatos receives the data back from Deutsche Bahn with a time delay.
For data protection reasons, Deutsche Bahn does not send us the complete data of the credit card but only parts of it. This is not possible in any other way in accordance with the DSGVO and the data protection regulations of Deutsche Bahn.
Atlatos compares the transmitted credit card with the credit card returned by Deutsche Bahn (this is usually the same and cannot be changed for corporate credit cards). If the credit card is the same, the credit card will be returned to Midoco. This is 99% of the cases, since our customers work mainly with central credit cards.
If another credit card has been used in the train booking process that is not listed in the Atlatos travel profile or centrally in the company profile, Atlatos will not be able to transfer the credit card in full. In this case, the middle data is hidden with "XXX".
Unfortunately, Atlatos cannot prevent the entry of any credit card at Deutsche Bahn itself from being blocked. This function is only disabled if you use a central travel card.
If a customer frequently changes the credit card during the booking process, we recommend asking for a credit card that can be used for train booking fees.
Atlatos can therefore only supply the Midoco train solution with this restriction for data protection reasons. We kindly ask for your understanding.
