Cancellation Function for Flight Bookings
In Atlatos Profi Traveller, the cancellation button is always visible in all portals – regardless of whether a cancellation is actually possible.
Whether an online cancellation can be made depends on the configuration set by the customer or travel agency.
Configuration Options
There are two available settings:
Always Cancellable
Flights can be canceled online at any time – even after ticket issuance, provided the selected fare allows cancellations.
Cancellable Only Before Ticket Issuance
Cancellations are only possible before the ticket is issued.
After issuance, clicking “Cancel” displays a message stating that the cancellation must be processed by the travel agency.
Practical Examples
Scheduled flight via Amadeus: Ticket is issued at 5:00 p.m. → Online cancellation possible until that time.
Flexible fares: Ticketing often happens shortly before departure → Online cancellation possible until then.
Background on Option 2
Many companies choose to limit cancellations to before ticket issuance to allow the travel agency to explore potentially cheaper rebooking options after ticketing.
Note: The configuration is set in the master data by the travel agency or the corporate client.
