The introduction of the new rail sales system bahn.business and the changeover to the Movas interface have resulted in changes that are presented clearly in this article.
1. rail booking in a new browser tab
Due to IT security regulations, the train booking will no longer open in an iFrame but in a new browser tab. However, all travel data will still be transferred, and the booking information will be sent back to Atlatos Profi Traveller
2. For bookings with a personal credit card - security code
If you select a personal credit card from the dropdown menu, the security code (CVC) will be requested immediately and no longer during the train booking process.
3. Seat reservation preferences
Deutsche Bahn no longer allows seat preferences to be stored in the travel profile. Instead, the focus is on the direct graphical selection of the desired seat. For bookings made by third parties, seat preferences will only be displayed in the Atlatos preview window for informational purposes.
4. Ordering a BahnCard
Deutsche Bahn now allows the digital application for the BahnCard 100 without the need for a form. However, through the Movas interface, it cannot be prevented that a BahnCard is ordered through the traveler's profile. Whether this function will be offered in the future is still under review.
5. Ticket Retrieval
Ticket retrieval is done through Atlatos, with a link to the booking details provided. Here you can download your ticket for desktop or as a mobile ticket.
6. Ticket and Invoice Separate
To comply with tax regulations, tickets and invoices are now separate. Both documents can be retrieved through the booking details of Deutsche Bahn in Atlatos.
For saving the Bahn invoice in Atlatos Profi Traveller and the automatic transmission of the invoice or purchase receipt (for central payment, e.g., via the Airplus Company Account) to the Atlatos travel expense report, the additional product Atlatos Invoice+ is required.
7. Login as a Registered Bahn User
Registered users of bahn.business must manually log in via the Bahn website in Atlatos, as Deutsche Bahn does not currently offer single sign-on. However, this functionality is planned for the future.
